Pricing
Live location recording -
$30 per hour
This includes recording time and mixing/cd
production time.
Roughly 1 hour of production time is needed for every 1 hour of recording.
There is a minimum fee of $75 for location
recording.
Inlcuded in the minimum are the following:
$60 for: the first hour of
recording ($30) plus the first hour of mixing ($30).
$15
for: cartage (moving the equipment), set-up and tear down time (these
things ALWAYS total more than 1 half-hour, so it's a deal!).
The live location
recording rate is for recitals or recording sessions requiring a stereo
mic'ing setup, along
with any additional microphones for reinforcement. Often this is
for piano, percussion, voice, or string/wind/brass soloists. Also
included are ensembles like choirs, concert bands, orchestras, chamber
ensembles and jazz ensembles.
Format transfers (record/tape/minidisc/other
media) -
$20 per
hour
This includes transfer time and cd production time.
Multi-track studio recording -
$75-100 per song
Multi-track recording is
used for the creation of music like rock and
other popular styles. We tailor the fee depending on the
complexity of producing, recording, mixing and mastering a song.
This is because simpler productions will take less time to
complete and more complex songs take more time! An example of a
simple multi-track situation would be a
4-piece band recording while playing together. A more complex
situation would be a musician or musicians overdubbing many tracks
one-by-one, involving lengthy mixing and production.
Additionally, you may choose to have us complete only one part of the
music production chain, such as only recording or only mixing.
Booking
We prefer to schedule all
types of work at least one week in
advance. However, if you have an event
or deadline closer than one week away, please contact us – We’ll be
glad to help
you out
of a pinch if we can.

Payment
Payment must be made when
the recording is delivered. We accept checks and cash.
